This remastering of several older vinyl recordings features an excellent small (25 piece) professional military band. The band draws heavily on the British band tradition and is conducted by Ernest Dalwood, a former member of the Coldstream Guards Band. The recording also includes a number of original arrangements by Roy Armitage, another former member of the Coldstream Guards. Large as Life and Bold as Brass was a great favourite of the late Clyde Gilmour of CBC radio and was featured on four different occasions on his program.
